Carrot Cake Scones

Found these in the most recent Bake From Scratch magazine issue and had to try for my Easter brunch!  I LOVE carrot cake.  These are super moist and the icing is scrumptious!  They are perfect for Easter!  BUT, they are absolutely ENORMOUS.  OMG.  Next time I will definitely split the dough in TWO rounds to cut for scones.  Using the whole recipe to make only 8 scones made HUGE scones.  Like, I couldn't imagine anyone being able to finish one on their own.  I would rather try to make more manageable-sized scones (or "kid" size, if you will)  next time.  I think that would be perfect.
