Chocolate Muscovado Banana Cake

Made Nigel Slater's recipe from the Food52 cookbook "Genius Recipes."  This is pretty aptly called a "cake" vs "bread," as it's so dense and rich and moist.  It's very very fruity and flavorful and delicious.  And did I mention rich?

 

Can't seem to find an original source online, but this recipe seems to be listed in many and sundry a website.  Here is ONE.

 

I served this toasted with butter, as if it were bread, and, though it was probably overkill, it was SO GOOD. :)  I'm not really one for temperance when it comes to butter.
